Bridal Portraits at Sunset, Rural Wedding Photographer, Oberon NSW

As with many of my wedding clients, I like to have a quick chat when booking in to make sure that we are going to be a great fit! As soon as I talked to Rachael I was excited to be capturing their special day as they were looking for a low-key elopement style rural wedding, and Rural Weddings are a niche of mine!

As I was driving to the Farmstay location (Glen Eden), which is in a beautiful secluded spot within 30minutes of Oberon NSW, I was struck by the stunning views that opened up before me, and knew straight away that we could capture some amazing golden hour bridal portraits here!

Nestled amongst the valley was a picturesque farmstay, with accommodation suitable for the 10 guests attending the wedding complete with an absolutely stunning outdoor deck and firepit!

The Ceremony was held looking out over some of these magnificent views, surrounded by beautiful native florals by Vanessa Pringle. A heartfelt ceremony ensued, with Rachael & Lachlan wasting no time moving through the ceremony after waiting almost 10 years for this moment, with their family watching on.

Having only a small number of family members present meant that I could take some time to capture a few additional family portrait combinations and engage with their beautiful daughter Logan to draw out some giggles!

We then explored a waterway in the valley surrounded by native trees and despite a few tangles with a blackberry bush and a wedding dress, managed to capture some bridal portraits including their reflection in the water.

Then off to the location I was most excited about, the top of the hill which had magnificent views over the whole valley! This location did not disappoint and I was spoilt for choice with views in almost every direction. Combined with a beautiful couple that were clearly meant to be together, I made them feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera so that I could capture their beautiful connection.

I always like to give my couples a chance to just take in their amazing day, without having to be anywhere or be photographed for a few minutes, and what better way to celebrate than having a beer together in the back of the Ute before heading back to the firepit before the cold Oberon evening air really settled in!

Thank you Rachael & Lachlan for asking me to part of your special day as your wedding photographer near Oberon NSW. Congratulations to you both!
